What is really sad is that he shunned SNL for 20 years because David Spade (correctly) called him a 'falling star' as a joke in his 'Hollywood Minute' Weekend Update bit during the early 90s. I mean, I get that Eddie Murphy was a hero who kept SNL afloat for years in the 80s after Lorne Michaels lost his smile, but holy shit man. You're one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and you're a former stand-up comic. You, of all people, ought to understand why you're being targeted--and you ought to be able to handle it better than that.
