If you're mostly cooking your own meals for just yourself, $10 or even $5 can go pretty far.

I just discovered your Now I know (on Reddit... Of course...) emails and while I was extremely hesitant to sign up for another mailing list, it was so well worth it!
Have you ever had a situation involving inaccurate information brought to your attention by a reader? I imagine most readers are like me and rarely fact check things. Regardless, I find your emails to be a great way to start the morning. Thanks!!

Hey there! I work for a nonprofit that deals with artisan partners in upwards of 40 countries, doing very much the same thing. Are you planning on pursuing membership with the Fairtrade Federation?
I'd also like to throw my 2 cents toward a the question this thread seems to be getting: Why women? In a nutshell, in the developing world (and the developed, to a lesser extent, perhaps) women are the most disadvantaged when it comes to work. Men are afforded many more opportunities to work outside the home where women are typically left to tend to household things, like childcare. Craft work can often be done during downtime from housework or taking care of the children.
To OP, thanks for the work you're doing, and I love your wares! Keep it up.
