They are using bitpay, a service that offers a conversion to USD and bank deposits for free. So basically the library never owns or handles any bitcoins, they just offer their donors another way of donating. With bitpay they can choose what percentage of the donation they want converted and I would guess that the library has 100% converted to dollars - so they can buy materials. But maybe I´m wrong and they keep the coins!? :)

I saw you in "Commanding Heights" and learned that you advised several countries face their staggering economies. Quite amazing! Thanks for doing this AMA!

  1. Do you see need for the US and EU to face the trouble their currencies are in, especially after measures taken since 2007/8?

  2. Have you had time to dive into bitcoin and what are your thoughts?

Thanks for the answer! No worries, you probably are busy enough as it is. Bitcoin is worth looking into though. Make sure you don´t get your info from MSM though. I´m going to leave this link of Andreas M. Antonopoulos giving a short introduction at DISRUPT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2CsJ2HMA2I

Also I would really be interested to hear your opinion on question #1 :)
