One of the biggest hurtles in developing commercially viable Thorium reactors is the containment tank. That is the molten salts have a bad habit a eroding the containment facilities requiring a lot of expensive maintenance. Have you come across any viable responses to this problem?

Kerbal Space Program or Orbiter? Seriously though, over the decades NASA has often ended up a political football and various projects have suffered for it. Do you ever find yourself worrying about whether a given project you're working on will survive the next electoral cycle?

Edit: Other question. From a young age I've always been fascinated by spaceflight, I'm currently an electrical engineering student working on technical electives for both power systems and communications systems. Does NASA have a lot of career opportunities for electrical engineers, even foreign ones from Canada? Or would I be better off looking into a private company like Boeing or SpaceX, or should I just stay at home and shoot for a job with Magellan?
