Yes, but are you chuffed to bits?

Inquiring American minds want to know.

Aren't all the actors in teen dramas in their early 20s, and look it?

That probably helps.

Here's a flowchart I've had to put in my wallet, because I have such trouble with getting angry at bullshit:

can I do something about this problem?
         / \
      yes no
         \ /
      ...then relax already

I fail 80% of the time. But a 20% reduction in stress might be just enough to stave off a heart attack years down the line, so it's worth it, if only for my family's sake.

Humans are social creatures. We expect that others behave pro-socially and are angry when they don't. However, we no longer live in the small hunter-gather bands that we evolved in, nor even in small villages. If someone acts like a dick, they don't have to suffer the stink eye from half of their neighbors every single day, so people act abominably. Sucks.

If you'd had a financial set-back of several thousands because of a natural disaster, you'd regret not buying more insurance, but you wouldn't simmer with nearly as much rage. Maybe think of these people as a natural disaster.

So either 1) buy 1,500 lady bugs from Amazon and figure out how to funnel them into your old house without getting caught, or 2) go for a run or something. I'm not talking down to you here, I know exactly how hard this is. Just reread that Zen flowchart, for your family's sake if not your own.

Also, I generally hate pop phrases, but "getting angry is drinking poison and hoping the other person will die" has always stuck with me. While you're angry about this, they're winning.

Best luck.

Wait, did you say you live in San Francisco, too?

Holy Mackerel.

What's your opinion of the email-technique? I mean, where someone sends an email to multiple dealerships with all the other dealerships visible to each other, and says "okay guys, who's got the best price for me?"

Assuming all of them are truly offering the same vehicle at that time, and that the distance the buyer would have to travel for pick up was not material.

In your opinion, would this produce a good deal for the buyer?
