One thing about Obama's deportation "increase" is that it is semantics. Most of the increase in "deportations" under Obama have been people caught at the border.

In the past, they would be returned over the border and told "Don't do that" but there would never be a hearing. Obama changed that so now they get a hearing, and then an official deportation.

So most of the increase is simply a change in the way border enforcement is being handled. There isn't really any increase in deportations. If you make it past the border you are not very likely to be deported (unless you have a criminal warrant or history).
