We just bought a car, brand new Honda CR-V. What do you think of truecar.com? We used it on this purchase, but it seems exploitable... We got automated quotes and worked dealers against each other...Winner dealer ended up 50 miles away. Bought on last day of June, rejected every add on by finance guy, and got a 2.3% 72 mo. He told us it was $1500 below invoice. Bullshit or no? What non confirmable numbers are used to get a good deal? I think we are one of 3 in lowest bin on sales histogram here:http://www.truecar.com/prices-new/honda/cr-v-pricing/2012/

Ever since the radiolab parasites episode I've been unable to shake the idea that toxoplasm gondii or some other variant is predominantly responsible for domesticated cats and that most "cat people" are actually under the influence of mind altering effects of a parasite. As a non cat person I find the fascination with cats completely foreign and have become more and more suspicious that its because I am not infected and that my friends who are cat people are mild cat zombies with a preoccupation with felines because of a parasite. Can you punch holes in this theory for me? While not strictly evidence of, this theory has particularly good explanatory capability for the following facts/behaviors:
- Allergy prevalence to cat dander being a very common indicating widespread presence within human populations and that our immune systems recognize cats as a threat.
- "cat smell" in a house that is acceptable to cat owners yet nauseating to guests.
- Ancient Egyptian cat worship
- Elevated assignment of titles to household pets, eg Mr. Wigglesworth
- Cat pictures on the internet. And if we accept the hypothesis above, we also recognize the parasite as crossing the organo-cyber barrier and propagated itself into the internet, thus making any given "viral cat meme" a misnomer more properly dubbed a "parasitic cat meme" that contribute to the human preoccupation and therefore well being of the feline species.
Realize I am throwing some bombs with felinophillic redditors but I just can't shake this lowest of low level scientific theories: the hunch. And I realize that any given point above can be explained through other mechanisms, but fuck that I'm speculating here. How would we test for such influence? are there any theories (hunch or more developed) along these lines with other human behavior?

Do you ever run into cases where the victim is, for whatever reason, not that traumatized by the crime, But still told that they should feel more violated than they do? How do you deal with that in therapy? Does the orgasm/no orgasm ever come into play in this case?
I dont want to downplay the fact that this crime is usually VERY traumatic, but I can imagine certain dispositions where rape is not felt as devastating or life shattering. And yet, sometimes in our quest for justice, we insist that the woman perceive the crime as the ultimate loss and devastation and that society is justified in perceiving that the victim is now irreparably damaged, impure, or corrupted, revictimizing the victim. This is admittedly getting a little out there, but I'm trying to separate a need for justice and punishment from the harm that was actually imparted on the victim. Seems like the physical response, during the act could complicate this disambiguation...
