I absolutely love OneNote! In my mind, its a program that really fits its purpose well, an no other comparable programs come close. However, we use Macs at work, and corporate IT policies make it absolutely clear that storing company data on 3rd party is strictly prohibited. As you know, local storage is only possible with the Windows version, not the Mac version.

Looking at this ticket, it seems that I’m not alone. However, the response from Microsoft was infuriating: "We have no plans to support local notebooks in our other clients, since storing your notebooks in the cloud enables experiences that are not otherwise possible”. This explanation simple doesn’t pass the sniff test. (How is not being able to use the software a better experience than using it with local storage?)

So,my question to you folks is this: What is the real story here? Could you reconsider?
