What powers do we have over those philanthro-capitalists (the not-Tom Whites) who would use medical charities to elevate their social statuses and launder their reputations, while they accumulate capital through exploitation and corruption and tax evasion?

How does PIH vet individuals or companies who want to donate?

How would a U.S. wealth tax (for U.S. social safety net expansion) affect global critical health care delivery work that currently relies on wealthy U.S. donors?

What measures of justice should we push to address our complicity as U.S. beneficiaries of structurally-violent economic extraction—our public roads, education, health care—from historically oppressed peoples around the world (e.g. diamond mining in Sierra Leone)?
