Wow, that definitely makes a lot of sense. I have always thought that your playing seemed to come from the hard bop camp, and this solidifies that notion. Elvin was really one of the greatest to ever pick up the sticks. His work with Trane in the 60's was nothing short of transcendental. So fluid and polyrhythmic.
