You're absolutely right. It's frustrating because if they started to play better music then it will have the same effect and actually grab more business I feel. Maybe not. It's a shame how we all let this happen.

Right on man. I didn't mean to yell directly at you. I just needed to vent my frustration with radio. I realize it's a business and money is king but it's unbelievable that most DJ's are just rehashing content without question. The smaller stations are somewhat better at rotating in new material or uncommon songs. It sounds like it can get sticky if you try to add your own opinion of content. It really does ruin the music tastes of the listener and I hope it can start to change. It seems as though the people are satisfied with what's on now, a horrible loss for the art.

People want to listen to it because they can't change it and they have been programmed to accept the same songs over and over. You listen to a song enough and of course that's all you want to hear.

As a musician, it angers me that you are proud of how radio is. You have been killing our society's music taste for generations. Why do you feel comfortable rehashing and NEVER changing the music. You play the shitty singles and then never branch out into the rest of the album. Never. Not once. For any station. Ever. Also, PUT JAZZ BACK ON THE RADIO!!!!!!?
