How do you feel about the ethics of breeding dogs into abnormally sized, fragile, short-lived creatures, for the sole purpose of aesthetics? How do you feel about publicizing and perpetuating this practice?

PS: he's adorable.

One could argue that many purpose-bred breeds suffer from similar ailments, and while I am not blind to that, there is something about Great Danes that truly saddens me. Perhaps it is their puppylike demeanour, so unbecoming of their limited lifespan. Ah well. A life well-lived is plenty.
