How often do people travel to these villages? I assume that the older members of the village have probably seen caucasians or other visitors before but just the thought of never seeing anything outside of your little village blows my mind.

The Toyota/Lexus Hybrid powertrains are solid. I've seen many prius's with well over 200k come through my dealership. The Lexus Hybrids are based on the exact same techonology just have different engines working with the hybrid components.

Are there any $10-$20 bottles of whiskey out there that are truly great?

Yes the Toyota/Lexus Hybrid Synergy Drive is a true hybrid powertrain. So Camry Hybrid, Avalon Hybrid, & Prius Family.
