What Norman didn't tell you is that the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza tried non-violent protest from 1967 to 1987. The first intifada only broke out after twenty years of violent Zionist responses to that non-violent protest.

With your recent statements in opposition to BDS and in support of the so-called two-state solution, you've basically come out as a Zionist. Have you always been a Zionist, or was this essentially an economically motivated surrender?

You say that "The only possible solution is the one endorsed by the international community and international law. Everything else is pie in the sky." With that in mind, was the transition to democracy in South Africa "pie in the sky"? Again, a Zionist position on your part and you would do well to admit your biases and obvious affection for the Zionist colonial project in Palestine.

I don't see how a cause by a tiny battered people against the regional superpower backed by the global superpower can be won IN DEFIANCE of global opinion.

Global public opinion? That is a very nebulous and problematic claim. If we go by votes in the UN, which are overwhelmingly against Israel in the General Assembly, "global opinion" can be deemed to be strongly against Israel. Why should the Palestinians agree to two states, separate and unequal? The "demographic problem" that the Zionist occupation wails about may well solve the problem.
