Holy crap I am impressed. In case people reading this don't know, dialysis is not easy- it really wipes you out. A lot of the people on dialysis don't work at all, let alone 40-50 hours a week.

I used to work on a trauma floor, and certain people (not necessarily inmates- they're actually usually quite nice to medical staff... More like jerks or drunk drivers who'd killed a kids in the same accident that brought them in and didn't care) would get exactly what they needed, nothing more. They'd get assessed and get meds and vitals taken, but you better believe I'm not gonna go looking for that one flavor of jello.

Here you go. Basically the body is stressed bc the kidneys aren't doing what they should be, you're probably stressed emotionally which can be tiring, and there are a bunch of dietary restrictions plus you lose appetite so less calories means less energy.
