Hey Sean. I heard Coolio had...a rough time backstage after his episode. Got any other behind the scenes stories for us?

What's something you wish TNG had done (storywise, characterwise, etc) that it didn't do?

Am woman. I would recommend throwing out a very quick question or funny observation: "I've been meaning to try that cereal for forever. Any good?" or "Oh man. We totally wore the same outfit!"

If she looks at you and responds warmly, holding eye contact and continuing to talk to you, proceed to go for a conversation. If they just give you a quick smile or short answer ("The cereal's ok. Nothing Amazing") and make a motion like they're continuing on with their day (resuming perusal of food) then let it go and move on.

This is just me and what I would prefer. It's a very no pressure situation all around, but still opens the possibility for something if she's available and interested.

Note: if she is wearing headphones, do not engage. She wants to be left alone.

While true, arguably Gollum did genuinely want to help them at one point and loved Frodo after Frodo showed him kindness. It wasn't until Gollum perceived that Frodo didn't care about him after all that he flipped on them. Sam is a good soul, but he was flawed in this one way. He couldn't see value in the wretched where Frodo could. Sam was ultimately correct that Gollum had wickedness in his heart and was dangerous, but Frodo was also correct in that Gollum could be redeemed with kindness and respect if given the chance.

Anyway, I mostly agree with you but do think Sam wasnt without flaw.

We're getting to the point where insurance companies are creating profiles on us; judging us by our spending habits on how healthy you eat (do you go to fast food restaurants frequently? Have a ton of tv subscriptions?) how often you exercise (gym membership, purchase of exercise related equipment). Are you a safe driver (you better believe any car with Bluetooth is harvesting data that's being sold to insurance companies). Do you frequent gay bars? Maybe you're an HIV risk. Female young adult browsing for engagement rings? Your chances of getting pregnant and costing the insurance company a boatload of money in the next couple of years just went way up. Your rates can be adjusted accordingly.

Note: I'm not an insider or expert. This is simply based on articles I've read on the subject.

If you want to see the more dystopian potential for these profiles, see China's social credit system.
