Lifelong fan, Dolph. What can you tell us about working with the late Brandon Lee on Showdown in Little Tokyo? The guy seemed incredibly charasmatic and destined for a good movie career.

I wrote a paper at university about how that flick is one of the few exploring a bisexual man coming to terms with his orientation (Predator 2 is another). Take that as you like.

I remember a lad at a gig in Cambridge back in 2006 shouting like an idiot during a quiet bit. You just looked him in the eye and shook your head. He tried it once more, then stopped immediately. Success.

It's been a long time but I mainly remember positing that Danny Glover enters a new, bisexually friendly environment ("The door swings both ways here", plenty of talk of being deep in asses). However this is not acceptable: the vagina and penis cannot be equal and battle for superiority.

The film has no love interest for either the protagonist or the audience. The only two female characters are pregnant and old and therefore sexually unavailable. Penis wins.

The Predator has a vagina for a face. At one point it eliminates a strong masculine figure known as King Willie. Vagina wins.

There's loads more but it's been over a decade since I last thought about this.
