Yeah, the few strippers I've met are pretty fucked in the head and have no other means or skills to make money legally. And jockey-ing a cash register sure doesn't bring in 30K a year. Not that they are sub-human, by any means, just that their coping skills are, well, lacking.

Premed (non-traditional) here and I know there is a lot of push-back from a lot of docs from many specialties on this topic. From what I understand, the AMA has pulled back from the whole debate. I live in Washington state and voted yes on the death with dignity act a few years ago (which passed!). Why are so many docs (from your experience) so adamently against this? If a patient is going to die unless we do procedure x, they have the right to refuse treatment - I don't see any difference between that and choosing to take a fatal treatment (obe is passive, one is active). What are your thoughts on why some docs refuse to participate in this method of treatment and (the shitty question) does it have to do with stats?

Herpes is a disgusting disease, it can be highly contagious (depending on viral shedding) and if you have sexual relations with someone, it is very possible to acquire the virus and condoms doesn't necessarily protect against it (unless, of course, that person is managing the condition with Valtrex). The people who have herpes are not disgusting people.

I gotta ask, though: did you get it from an ex that you hadn't seen in a while? (~ 1 year)

I'm quoting you on this forever.

Hey, good on you. I don't have a moral objection to the whole thing; I've just noticed that it attracts a 'certain kind of person.' Now, of course this is a blanket statement and doesn't apply to all individuals in the business. I could also go on for days about how American culture keeps this kind of business in the 'smut' category instead of the 'healthy expression of sexuality category', but that's a different thread for a different subreddit.
