Hi Frank, I'm going to be honest here and say that the first time I opened up The Dark Knight, I couldn't really get into it because the art is so different from what I was expecting and I couldn't deal with so many words. Then I grew up and now The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Returns are my two favorite DC comics. Every time I opened to the spread when the Green Lantern directs the attention to Batman in the spot light, it gives me shivers.

My question is this, how did you know that your approach would work and be accepted? Did it take much convincing for you to have your way published?
