I'd say that is an excellent idea. It might be worthwhile to also verify that the current DNS server being used is the one specified in the network settings - I've seen a few pieces of malware that seem to inject themselves as a proxy in the networking stack - though I'm an admin, not a developer, so I'm not sure of the specifics.
