How can I become an expert in Data Structures? I often find it very hard to follow text book explanations or a teacher's description. I usually just end up running the code and hoping it works.

How common is it that a computer will read my resume instead of a person? (If it is common) What kind of keywords/best practices should I use to make sure my resume does not get filtered out by a computer and to ensure it is witnessed by human eyes?
