not to bogart this thread, but my daughter has a CI and we've certainly had negative backlash from some members of the Deaf community. Kinda sucks. People who use a CI but don't use ASL as their first language are often shunned.

My daughter is 13 and has the same CI that you do! She was implanted at the age of 2. Would you have any advice for her as she gets ready for high school?

Thanks so much for doing this AMA - I have long been a follower of your techniques and thanks to what I've learned from you, my entire approach to home cooking has changed and now my family eats healthier and happier for it!
