This is probably an incredibly morbid question, so not meant to be offensive. I was impressed with how well Sanderson has stepped into finish Jordan's WOT. I believe I read George RR Martin has expressed that he would not want someone else to finish ASOIF. If something tragic happened would you want your work to be completed or would you be disturbed by the idea of someone else handling your characters?

EDIT: Though maybe this is implied by asking the question, I think you are a terrific author and love your work. So thanks so much for sharing it.

As someone who is nearly officially recovered from an acute kidney injury and spent 2 months on dialysis.... dialysis is a miserable miserable thing. And I was better off then most because my kidneys were improving all the time. Whoever got that kidney is so fortunate.

And given the fact that they are seeing a surge in AKI due to Covid and people with AKI have a high risk of ending up with ESRD we're probably going to need even more kidneys in the neat future.

The dynamic of prison guard/prisoner apparently taps into some weirdness of human nature, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_prison_experiment

They've also set up donation chains in the past. So like say a husband wants to donate a kidney to his wife but they aren't compatible, so he donates his kidney to a stranger and that stranger has a loved one donate a kidney to the dude's wife.
