Only your sex life would be taxed by that.

It's like how you never see riots break out after a final Street Fighter tournement but after a basketball or soccer championship...

Actually it's not really too comparable. Expand viewers of pro Street Fighter to viewers of pro soccer and you can't really say how post Street Fighter tournaments would turn out. However, it is a nice sound byte to put down on a 24 hour news show, which never investigate further than the sound byte.

I know what you thought. They don't have homes, they don't have jobs, what do they need the top of a muffin for? They're lucky to get the stumps.

edit: but honesty, giving out "old" food is against most states' food code. A homeless person could get sick, and then sue the company. It's dumb as hell, I agree, but it is a dumb reality. I don't know the answer though. You can say homeless/hungry people don't adhere to the normal food standard? That just sounds awful though. But then if they are allowed to eat day old food, why not let it happen for "fresh" stuff being served to the non homeless person. It's quite complicated/multifaceted and I'm a little too drunk to keep trying to talk about it.

Yeah but the same argument remains that that hasn't reached a critical mass. Comparing the amount of fans of MMA to soccer or basketball is still laughable. Impossible to know what it would be like if the populations of fans were the same or reversed. It's all about mob mentality. It's a positive feedback cycle. More people doing something means more people causing shit, which means more people looking at them and realizing they can do the same, and so on.
