How would you have solved this problem? To me it feels that something has gone wrong with the way this character was used, especially in season 6-7. Now they seem to be flashing him out, giving him redeeming qualities but it feels a bit late. Doing this earlier would he have become a more satisfying character? Using him to his function (teased in S5) would have made a change?
And one more question: Did you have any idea or goal of what to achieve in the future with this character when he first appeared in season 3?
