One pound of weight equals to one cubic inch (appr.) so if a person weighed 150 pounds, you will need a cremation urn of at least 150 cubic inches to fit all the ashes. With hydro cremation as Caitlin has noted above, you will need to have 20% markup so for one pound of weight estimate about 1.25 cubic inch. A funeral home puts all the ashes in a plastic bag with a tie and then in a simple container. They can transfer ashes into an urn or any other vessel for you if you ask them.

I've read in one of your interviews that you meditate. What is your daily routine for that? How (chanting, silence, etc.) and how long do you meditate? Thanks!

Is it true that cremains from the Alkaline Hydrolysis (hydro cremation) have more volume that the ones from the traditional (fire) cremation? If yes, how much more volume? What's the difference in look and feel of two types of cremains? Thanks!
