Are you now in any sort of financial trouble due to the expense of this? If so, which was more damaging, the financial or social burden you now face?

Are colleges even remotely as impressed with adaptability as they are with excellence in a particular area? Obviously if you intend to pursue music or varsity sports then a university will want you (if you're good enough), but does the student with varsity letters in multiple sports and musical talent (all state etc.) who simply doesnt cut it for the next level impress too?
