I just can't understand how Christians look past the horrible atrocities in the bible (rape, murder, slavery, etc)...how as a pastor do you handle and teach these things?

They are places in the bible where God himself commands entire cities and tribes be wiped out (noahs ark, Sodom and Gomorrah, etc). This is one reason among many I became an atheist.

To me the God of the bible isn't worthy of worship and praise if he does exist. I do agree religion has some serious problems.

I comend anyone with the ability and strength to step out as an atheist. My husband and are stuck in the closet for now
