I follow a photographer on Instagram who has adopted two little girls from China with albinism and the eye sight problems were something I didn’t realize. They wear sunglasses almost all the time and glasses when she can keep them on their face.

The Waffle House I used to go to all the time started out putting the chocolate chips and walnuts inside my waffle but then stopped suddenly and told me company policy says they couldn't anymore, is this true? I really miss those waffles.

I like traditions and ceremony but also appreciate freedom and the ability to question the status quo, it was also very important to me that my church treat men and women equally and accept all people. I was 26 when I found a church that welcomed my skepticism and told me that to question your faith and scripture means you're building its strength instead of demanding blind obedience. I was never forced to go to church and wasn't baptized and confirmed until I was 28 years old. I would suggest that any of your friends who are turned off by being told to worship a certain without explanation look into the Episcopal church. Everything is optional, Eucharist, singing, genuflecting, etc. it's all there but you can choose what you're comfortable with. I like the focus on readings/lessons rather than one person's interpretation of the word. My (lesbian) priest wholly accepted the fact that I don't think the bible is the direct word of God or that it is 100% true. I can honestly say I love it and am so sad I won't be going to mass tonight since I have a 3 month old.
