I've been considering moving to Laramie for school. What are the best/worst things about Wyoming life?

Going to throw in my $0.02, because I am a vet tech at an equine (horse) clinic. We desperately need more compounders! We get the majority of the meds we use compounded because 1) there's not as many human meds we can use "off label" for horses 2) the quantity of medication large animals have to have 3) ease of use -- horses can be just as finicky as cats when it comes to medication, and 4) cost to the owner.

As /u/cassiepets said there were recently some deaths of horses after they were given the compounded form of toltrazuril. Somehow the concentration of ingredients got mixed up at the compounding pharmacy. This was obviously a big concern for our practice (we use that compounding pharmacy regularly), and shows the need for good talent in the field! We're also starting to see (anecdotally, of course) a big slow down in the time between our ordering and receiving medications. Not entirely sure why this has happened, and some of the reasons may be out of the pharmacy's control (state regulations and all that) but it's scary to see shelves empty of important medications!
