Thank you both for your answers. I would agree that growth is an important factor but with caution. A 0,1% growth can create employment in the US but Spanish economists say that only a 2% growth would do reduce unemployment in Spain. Is government spending still justified?

As for the duality of the Spanish labour market its a big problem as it generates high youth unemployment. That being true is only part of the problem as there are also important demand side factors.

Hi Ekkehard, In your opinion how can unemployment be tackled in Spain? Nothing whatsoever seems to be working.
