You said that nobody else out there has taken the same approach as you when it comes to the challenge of optimizing a 100% renewable grid. Can you break it down for us and explain how your algorithm is different from the ones used by other works in this field, such as e.g. [Steinke, Renewable Energy, 50, 826 (2013)] or [Becker, Energy, 72, 443 (2014)]?

It's tough to justify nuclear projects to investors when solar and wind projects are cheaper with shorter break even time.

I'm guessing by spear throwing stick you mean an atlatl? The atlatl increases your effective arm length when throwing, and also lets you maintain contact with the spear over a greater arc length of your throw. This lets you throw faster, since linear throwing speed equals something like 0.5 * rotational acceleration * contact time * arm length. A jai alai racquet works similarly.

In my area, people usually arrive in groups of friends for e.g. pub trivia, but at the LGSs people will show up solo and look for pickup games. What's the environment like at Monopolatte? Is it mostly distinct groups of people? Or is it a lot of pickup games and mixing?
