sorry for the slight derail, but as a foreigner reading through this thread, this caught my eye. You mean you pay $1550 a MONTH for a family of four? And that deductible.. Does your insurance not kick in at all until you get up to $7500 in charges? :|

Some Miele models have a 10 year warranty. Definitely worth upping the budget. I bought a compact C2 last year, after going through another one of these AMAs. It was the perfect upgrade from a shitty Dyson and I wish I had done it sooner.

I grew up in a Southern European country where, at the time, measles was a very common disease. Measles and chickenpox were both diseases that most kids would end up contracting sooner or later, in fact it was not uncommon for parents to expose their kids to an infected friend to just get it over with. It was believed once you had it as a kid, you'd be immune from then on. Anyway - I had measles in the early 90s, when I was around 6 or 7. How dumb were we and do I need a vaccine? :)
