I received the IB diploma and my college accepted it as the equivalent of 30 credits, which puts me a year ahead. I don't know any schools that give more than 30 for it. And even then, those were all elective credits so I still had to complete all of my major and general education requirements. It's definitely possible to graduate a year early with it, maybe even a year and a half, but definitely not two.

How long do you usually spend in each place? Do you like to keep moving or get to know places well before you go?

Also, do you ever get scared or anxious thinking about financial worries, missing your loved ones, or being alone in foreign countries? I think these feelings would take away some joy for me. I really admire your outlook and drive!

Hi Mr. Nye, Dr. Stofan and Dr. Pappalardo! I am a college student and recently took an astrobiology course in which we discussed the possibility of life on Europa. Do you think that humans could one day colonize Europa, or would the distance and temperature make that unfeasible? If the latter proves true, could Europa instead be used as a fueling station of sorts for future space travel?

Also, I wanted to thank you Bill for all that you've done to promote science education across the country. You are truly inspiring. Thanks for doing this AMA!

Hi! I'm starting college this year as an anthropology major. I'm sorry if this is too personal to ask, but do you find that you make a comfortable living as an archaeologist? Also, thanks for doing this AMA!

Hi! I'm an undergrad (about to be a sophomore) studying biological anthropology. I know it's early for me, but do you have any advice on how to prepare for grad school in this field? For example, I've been told to take a lot of statistics classes in my junior and senior year. Is there anything you've done regarding course load or general preparation that you would recommend? I don't know of a single other person with an interest in human origins so this is exciting :)
