Crown your teeth...Do not remove them.

Wait...was it genetic or was it medicine your dad took? Not likely to be both.

It is likely a genetic issue. I have only ever heard of this condition as one due to a problem with certain genes. Never due to medicine a parent took.

I don't know who gave you the diagnosis and explanation but they don't seem to know what they are talking about.

Edit: Do you know what medicine was blamed? If too personal I understand but it would be interesting to read up on it.

This is an option that I would strongly warn you against. Implants are great for replacing missing or non restorable teeth. A mouth full of them would be expensive and trust me on this...natural teeth are the best teeth. If your roots are healthy put a crown on the tooth before removing and replacing it.

Consider getting upper canine to canine done first. This should run around 6 thousand dollars.

Do not go to a bargain basement dentist. This is something you want to have done right.

Seems expensive but so totally worth. Look into Care Credit or something to allow you to make payments over 18 months or so. People buy cars for 20 grand but won't put the same investment into their own person. This is something I will never understand. I can't speak for you but would imagine that investing in your mouth would pay dividends for life that would far outweigh the cost of the procedure.

Check out this case report.

Dentures are a last resort....trust me they are not something you want to deal with ever...especially at such a young age. I would pay $50k if I had to in order to avoid dentures.

Implant supported dentures are better than dentures but will end up costing near what crowns would.
