I am starting my masters project in my last year of PA school right now and my topic is "the effects of microgravity on the human immune system." My very brief start to research has pulled up some really interesting data (oxidative burst effects, microRNA changes, etc.) I was wondering, in the last year of new research, what new areas of immune health/function are you most excited to see the results of? Thanks for your time.

Hello, I am a second year PA student and am currently doing my masters project on the effects of microgravity on the human immune system/response. I am fascinated with some of the findings (specifically oxidative burst and RNA transcription effects)and am curious, in your opinion, how large of an impact the immune changes due to microgravity could have on health during long term space travel? Obviously data is still being collected, but are there any specific tests from the twin study that look promising in regard to immune response?

Thanks for doing this AMA!
