Because you could easily make chalk from the material found at nearly any moon or planet :)

Wouldn't greasepaint be better? You can make it from just about any oil-producing plant (or animal fat), it's more permanent, can be colored more easily than chalk, resists environmental wear, and most importantly can mark nearly any surface.

Not get remanded or reversed often, write important opinions that are cited a lot, write useful law review articles, keep a popular blog, write textbooks, teach on the side, do high-profile charity work, etc. A lot overlaps with the stuff any professional might do for visibility.
