Because the culture of most tech sites, and most vocal "techies" are diametrically opposed to Christianity. Not only is "white guilt" a thing, but in these circles "Christian guilt" is also a thing.

On this note, my son (6) wanted to be a "space paleontologist" (his words, we watch a lot of Dino Dan and Dinosaur Train) until some jackleg told him there aren't dinosaurs in space. He's still pretty disappointed. Do you have any bits of awesome that might lift his spirits about 'doing' paleontology on terra firma?

I can't remember the last messenger client that actually closed when you 'x' out though. All of them that I can think of have minimized to task bar when you hit 'x'.

Maybe the one that shipped with windows 98? What was that called?
