If your opinion, where does the future of journalism as a whole lie?

There seems to be a lot more cohesion and crossover between leagues now, where there used to be a much clearer divide between the cats that battled at Scribble and the Smack crowd. If Scribble Jam was still around, do you think the battle scene would be any different?

Is battle rapping actually lucrative for the rappers or the leagues or is it still mostly just out of the love of the sport?

Are there any rappers that you remember coming up with or seeing that never caught on but you always enjoyed? Something like the equivalent of a "comedian's comedian"?

Thanks for taking the time to do this and thanks for the years of free entertainment, man. Looking forward to seeing more battle and more music from you.

Your stand-up is hilarious; your voice acting is amazing; and the way that you deal with depression, anxiety, and the like is inspiring and very much needed. Thanks for doing an AMA, but mostly just thanks for doing what you do and providing entertainment while shining a light on some of the issues many of us deal with. So, uh...all of that but with a question mark at the end.

EDIT: Oh wait! I came up with a question that is totally unrelated to any of that. During your time living in Minnesota, were you ever exposed or involved in the arts and music scene there and what do you think it is about the area that is so conducive to the arts--aside from being trapped inside by snow?

Hey Mac,

Thanks for doing this. Been a fan dating back to the Scribble Jam days and it's been amazing to see how you and a lot of the cats from that scene grew as artists.

Though you're obviously an experienced songwriter, was writing "Texts for Bennett" an entirely different beast or was the process fairly similar (though with less rhyming, I'd guess)? Have you written anything similar--short stories or the like? Lastly, if anyone disses Doomtree will you still take a knife and cut 'em?
