Why does the app need:

Device ID & call information Allows the app to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call

?

Just stopped me from getting it.

I haven't gotten any apps to market. But I did tinker with it and read some of the documentation around it a while a go(2 plus years). I would expect an incoming call is something a game wouldn't need to handle.

But like I said I really know. But it does move the game from "I'll give this a shot, 2 bucks, what could it hurt." to "Now I have to decide if I trust this guy and his company that I've never heard of before." I am a technical user, so maybe most people wouldn't feel this way. That said, most people I know who like the RTS genre are a bit more technical. I wonder if you're losing a % of your sales.

I think that the permissions system in android is a bit convoluted.

There should be a mechanism to safely pause the game (or any other app) when it loses focus. A game shouldn't need to know it lost focus because of a call, or because the user chose to switch apps, it should just know it lost focus.

Edit: If it has to it sounds like a flaw with Android.

I just looked on google play and it only 2 dollars. Reading the comments here I think I saw that that is half of what it was before. What was the original market price and if it was less than $5 why are you valuing your work/product so low?

It sounds like you really care about your game, I've watch the video and read some reviews, at 2 bucks I'm going to try it.

At $5 I'd need to read more reviews before I'd try it. Around $20 and I'd really want a recommendation from a friend but videos of game play would probably be enough if the game is good.

Have you tried charging more?

So you had not tried a hire initial price? It would have been interesting to see how it went.

Best of luck.
