I definitely suggest Python. r/learnpython is a great resource, as is Code Academy.
It isn't the best language for games, but there are packages like pygame for simple game development.

When I was younger, I caused all kind of shenanigans with electronics. Dissasemling appiances, splicing wires, etc. It drove my parents nuts.
Did you fool around with electronics when you were a kid? If so, what did you do, and how did your parents react to it?

Haha! That's awesome. I wish my parents had been as lenient as yours. They allowed it to a certain point, but when I worked my way up to more dangerous/valuable appliances, they were like "Okay, no!" and I'd skamper off and play Pokemon.
I actually still do it at 21. Only now it's my own stuff. I'm not at your skill level, but I certainly get a lot of enjoyment out of jurry rigging electrtonics into new things.
