Posts like this make me really appreciate my oncologist. He may be 73 years old, but he carries 4 electronic devices at all times, and uses all of them regularly. His only complaint about the hospital's EHR system is that it's not sophisticated enough for him to write complex prescriptions. It wants you to prescribe pre-determined amounts of each drug, as per best practices. He deals with terminal, palliative patients for the most part, and will try damn near anything to make us feel better. That doesn't often line up with pre-determined dosages.
