I laughed out loud at this. When we see roadkill on the side of the road, I generally get upset, so my boyfriend comes up with lies about why they died ("Rapist." "Told the hunter where to find Bambi's mother", etc). My favorite was "Don't worry, honey. It died doing what it loved...getting hit by cars."

I told him what you posted and we shared a laugh.

It's ridiculous to me that some parts of this world/country create people that won't open doors, pick something up, or smile at someone who needs it.

You know what? I was just reading this AMA and thinking, "Huh. I bet I could do that." I wait tables now and desperately want to get out. Maybe I'll have to look into what you do....

As my dad always said, "Well, you'll never be outsourced since there's never a lack of people dying."

I'm a bartender in Texas and we actually make all of our bloody Marys with Clamato....I don't think anyone down here knows they're technically called Cesar's though...

I wanted to jump on this as well. Not as a person who has a disabled child, but as a long-term, chronic-disease patient. I hope OP can agree with this.

If you have the time, familiarize yourself with insurance policy/law. I suffered for a long time with insurance companies, and still do. Most medical professionals don't seem to be aware of insurance shortcomings, etc., because they assume it's the patient's responsibility, and come off as just waiting for payment. Of course it's my responsibility to know what I have, what I'm paying for, but a lot of the time it's Greek to me. The best doctors I've ever had were human first, caring second, and scientific third. Any doctor that doesn't patronize me, listens to me, and shows his salt gets my recommendation, my continued faith, and a lasting gratitude.
