How did you manage to get hotter with age?

tl;dr- A horror actor/employee knew I was on edge and sent me a guardian angel. Not an important story, just a memory.

I'm very, very easily frightened by things that are semi-realistic. Aliens? No problem. Werewolves, monsters, vampires? Whatever. Those things don't exist. When it comes to anything that COULD actually happen in real life (zombies, cannibalism, ghosts, mass murder, gore) upsets me greatly. I don't choose to be this way, it just happens. I really wish I could enjoy "scary" stuff more. To try to help my issue, my SO and I went to Howl o Scream at Busch Gardens for our anniversary and I spent half of the trip crying just from the anticipation of being afraid. I finally got the courage to ask one of the park directors what they thought I could handle the most and he couldn't suggest anything "Every house is scary, just in a different way than the others". I finally sucked it up and went in the nearest house, snotty and sniveling the whole time, clinging to my SO like a baby orangutan. We exited, and I was still crying, but it was a lot of fun and ended up enjoying the trip enough to go back again a couple of weeks later. A few minutes after my first house my SO brought something to my attention; apparently I hadn't noticed but the park employee I spoke to sent another employee/actor to follow me through my first house right behind me in case I became overwhelmed and needed a quick escape, and it may be a possibility that he served as something of a warning to the actors in the house "Hey, this girl will vomit on your shoes if you touch her so please do not."

I still have fear issues, I can't play Zombie Nazis or Fatal Frame. But those trips helped me so much. I really want to go back, but I don't have the money for the trip.

Sorry this was so long, you just made me remember one of the best nights I've ever had with my SO and I wanted to share it.
