I love how getting a 'kickback' would result in prison time, but getting a 'cash infusion' to their campaign in return for voting a certain way is legal and ethical.

Up until 1989 they could just pocket any cash leftover from their campaign fund.

I think many minorities would agree with much of libertarianism, but may be worried that social welfare would be the first thing cut and we would never get around to cutting corporate welfare or defense.

At least that's why I stopped espousing libertarianism.

I know it will vary by state to state, but can you give a rough estimate of the statute of limitations? Closer to 2 or 7?

I'm surprised I'm one of the few who don't want out, but I landed my dream job.

When I was in college studying for a CIS degree I worked at a ski resort as a liftie (lowest of the low). My dream was to be the IT guy at the resort. That would mean I could live up in the mountains year-round, while having an actual career and not working for minimum wage, and being able to ski all winter.

It happened last year (different resort, but absolutely perfect). I live in the mountains (there was snow on my car saturday...in august). I am the one-person IT department; I get support contracts for anything I don't have time to do myself. I have 3-day weekends the whole off-season plus six weeks of vacation. I ski 100+ days a year, mostly while getting paid (computer goes out, I have to ski the replacement over). It's family owned, so no corporate BS; lots of autonomy, a very laid-back atmosphere, and appreciative co-workers who believe we are a community not a company.

The only bad things are the company doesn't pay well (everyone is here to ski) and like any resort town, it's a 4:1 M:F ratio.
