To add to this, at that level of performance especially, every instrument is unique in its build and tone, not to mention that there’s a good chance the maker died decades, if not a century or two ago.

Then there’s the cost/pairing of the bow, which can also be several thousand dollars.

FWIW having played both I found KoL to be more accessible and I'm still playing it, whereas I found myself abandoning Fallen London and have yet to return (that's not to say another shot isn't in my future).
