I'm an EMT/FF and current 911 dispatcher due to staffing. It all depends on where you live. If you live in the city an ambulance should get to you within 5-6 mins. Any good system will help you on the phone before the main help arrives.

I work in EMS, rigs often get upwards of 500k miles where I am. Granted that's if they mechanically make it that far before finally being put out of their misery.

Just remember if your going to really rural areas people may not know how to act around a hot ambulance. Hell people where I am still don't. Remember even if you are the best driver, people turn into fucking idiots with an ambulance on the road.
