Former inventory employee here. Working in the back was great. You get a bit of a workout, you don't deal with customers, and you get to do fun shit like you mentioned. Only thing is the hours. Some people love it, others hate it. I'd work 7pm to 1am shifts and that type of schedule isn't for everyone.
