Just wondering about your thoughts on immigration and the utility of borders. Do they serve any positive purpose in your opinion?

In particular, I'd appreciate if you can comment on the common argument that says "opening the borders and having a decent welfare state are mutually exclusive".

You can always tell her about the facts on the ground and show her the evidence rather than seeking help on how she can abuse her children because she (and probably yourself) hold some nonsense beliefs!!
