Thank you both for answering honestly. I often think about what my brother must have been going through and it pains me to think he was suffering. I talked to him while he was comatose in a calm voice and I read a letter from someone he loved more times than I can count, hoping at the very least, if he was still "there", he would dream of a loving presence and not be so scared.

What was it like growing up with albinism?
How would you handle people staring at you or making comments about your appearance in public?
I don't know how to say this without sounding weird, but I find albino men and women physically attractive. Do you hear this often?

You mentioned you live in a small county. How often do you encounter a caller you know?
Has anyone ever called 911 for a non-emergency so they can get a ride to the hospital?

I have fair, sensitive skin that hates the sun and most skin care products. Check out Coolibar. They have sun hats, parasols, and sun protective clothes and swimwear with 50-100 SPF. Combined with the right sunscreen, that should be enough protection.
In my experience Vanicream sunscreen works for sensitive skin.

My brother was in a coma and unfortunately died. My question to you is... what was it like being in a coma? Did you dream? Could you hear people talking to you?
